With the call centre who have been calling my number for the last five years and who won't listen when I tell them they have the wrong number.

It's a credit card agency (one I have never heard of) and I get multiple texts each week of the 'where is our money?' variety and now calls as well. Either someone has deliberately given them the wrong number or they are so thick they can't input the number correctly.

Today I have been told that they can't delete my number due to GDPR reasons! What utter bull. Surely the breach is that they are contacting a third person with details of their clients account? Not that I know their client.. but, Danielle, if you are out there please pay your card and sort your phone number!

I am a pensioner and rarely use my phone, it is for emergencies only so when it rings I assume the worst and panic. I don't need this. How do I stop them?

Can you not sign up to a call blocker and block their number?

Zippyx · 19/07/2019 14:29

If you have a smartphone, you can probably block the number.

Just type into Google "how to block phone number [your phone model]"

Hope you can shake them off!

I had this for years. "No Jackie Currie still does not live at this address." They kept calling and sending letters. I do wonder if they were thinking that she would move back in, whoever Jackie Currie is. I lived there for 7 years and they never stopped trying to contact her there. Idiots. She owed tens of thousands. I couldn't even block their calls because they withheld it and I couldn't block withhelds as the doc and hospital were that.
