Fuck me, this is terrifying...

crowd chants

I don't think war, but definitely violence and even more division. I saw that clip this morning and genuinely had a cold shiver go right through my body.

Worst thing is I have no doubt that he will be re elected....Sad

FishCanFly · 18/07/2019 14:22

he will be. Democrat leaders at the moment are pretty useless

TheHodgeoftheHedge · 18/07/2019 14:22

I have "friends" defending him on social media. I honestly am lost for words.

ScaryBunnyPainting · 18/07/2019 14:24

I think things are going to become increasingly dangerous for minorities over the coming years. Dystopian dramas on TB seem so very achievable now, don’t they?

ScaryBunnyPainting · 18/07/2019 14:25

TV*

whatthewhatthewhat · 18/07/2019 14:32

He also said this
she married her brother

Which according to google, may or may not, be true!! 🤷🏻‍♀️

It reminds me of when I was little and I was terrified the BNP would send me "back" to a country I'd never even seen.

war between which groups OP?

Isatis · 18/07/2019 14:49

It's extraordinary that Trump is relying on techniques that are frighteningly similar to what Hitler used, yet apparently millions of Americans still support him.

tenredthings · 18/07/2019 14:58

It's a racist smokescreen to distract from his Epstein paedophile connection. What's terrifying is that our soon to be prime minister is cutting ties with all our allies in order to be Trump's puppet.

jamoncrumpets · 18/07/2019 15:22

He is horrific and this drove me to tears earlier.

Al2O3 · 18/07/2019 15:26

What sort of war? North v South with nuclear weapons do you think.....?!?

Or were you metaphorically speaking?

NoBaggyPants · 18/07/2019 15:30

Trump's puppet.

And Netanyahu's too.

Omar in particular is being singled out because she speaks out against Israel's apartheid regime.

LondonJax · 18/07/2019 15:31

I did say to DH that I wouldn't be surprised to see civil unrest. He doesn't even attempt to quieten it all down - just adds fuel to the flames and encourages the chanting.

whatthewhatthewhat · 18/07/2019 15:32

Civil war first, then I actually think world war!

OP posts:
surlycurly · 18/07/2019 15:37

No one in his country has the balls to stand up to him. Indeed, too many people agree with him. The man is as big a threat to humanity as the climate change issues he pretends aren't happening.

notverygreenfingered · 18/07/2019 15:44

Someone will end up getting killed for sure. I think either some right wing nutjob will take one of the four women out or Trump will be assasinated.

notverygreenfingered · 18/07/2019 15:45

Or maybe both, one in revenge for the other.

Iltavilli · 18/07/2019 15:48

It “may or may not be true” that she married her brother. Of course it is untrue, OP YABU for many reasons but especially this.

RubbingHimSourly · 18/07/2019 15:48

White, British old fogie signing in and my blood ran cold seeing this.

That man is terrifying in his stupidity. I don't see him as a joke now. I see him as a man capable of real damage to peace and life as we know it.

Juells · 18/07/2019 15:54

Someone posted this on FB today.

groundanchochillipowder · 18/07/2019 15:58

We're about to get Boris as PM, a man who truly believes that Winston Churchill, a man who used alcohol, to which he then became addicted, to medicate his depression and whose daughter was so depressed she ended her life by suicide, 'pitchforked off' his mental illness via 'hard work' and you're worried about a foreign president? Honestly I think we need to look to our own shores first. Boris is every bit as dangerous.

Cornettoninja · 18/07/2019 16:13

Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, weak men create hard times - I’ll leave you to decide where abouts in the cycle we are...

It is terrifying when you contemplate exactly how precarious the world is at the moment. I mean, it’s pretty much continually a mess somewhere but our current and potential western leaders seem to be a particularly special flavour of horrific at the moment. There doesn’t seem to be much alternative on offer either. It’s disconcerting to find ourselves living in countries whose headlines we would expect to see coming out of some of the more corrupt countries in the world.

It’s almost as frightening to realise how many people just don’t see it.

MereDintofPandiculation · 18/07/2019 16:22

Boris is every bit as dangerous. Boris is not likely to become leader of one of the most powerful countries in the world.

Yes, this.

Screamanger · 18/07/2019 16:27

Civil war between which groups?

Watching from within the US he will get re elected, there isn’t really and alternative.
