Foot still peeling after 8 weeks

Can anyone help me? Did the V10 Derma foot peel 8 weeks ago & my feet are still peeling. Been on holiday twice & it’s so embarrassing & my feet are all different shades from white to brown. I look like a snake. Have spent a fortune on exfoliants, pumice type things, moisturiser. Anything I can think of and they’re still peeling. I even over heard women discussing what must be wrong with my feet while queuing in Starbucks! Should’ve realised you get what you pay for🙈

Have you tried soaking your feet for an hour every night?

Choo5 · 18/07/2019 14:52

Thanks for replying Cathy87 ( my first ever post😃) I haven’t tried that apart from the nightly shower & using exfoliant & then moisturiser after. This usually leaves me with fab smooth feet only for them to start peeling again the next day😫 I’m sure I can’t be the only person this has happened to, my skin isn’t unusually sensitive or anything, I don’t think. I’m worried I’ll be down to the bone if it doesn’t stop😱🤣

Are they sore? Perhaps your skin has reacted badly and is now unable to stop peeling. I’d show your pharmacist and ask for advice.

sayanythingelse · 18/07/2019 15:00

I've not used it but I read some reviews on this product as I was going to buy it and a lot of people said exactly the same thing which is a bit concerning.

browzingss · 18/07/2019 15:04

I agree that you should see a pharmacist (or GP) as 8 weeks is a long time for this to persist. Having said that, I’m not familiar with the foot peel that you used though, on the surface the length of time sounds a bit odd

GibbonLover · 18/07/2019 15:10

I used the very same peel on 2nd June. I have only just stopped peeling!

Choo5 · 18/07/2019 15:50

Thanks everyone. Not sore at all, just looks so awful. I will pop in & see my pharmacist🏃‍♀️

I’ve only ever used Footner or Babyfoot but I’m pretty sure the packaging said that moisturising prolongs the process. Difficult when you want normal looking feet though!

Hey, I have literally just got over this issue! Bought a footmask/peel thing and it worked...bloody hell it worked! I did it weeks ago and my feet have only just stopped! I soaked my feet and resorted to sitting and peeling the skin off. Really satisfying! The Doctor happened to see it at a check up and ask if I had a fungus but I told her no. It did clear up eventually!

Dieu · 18/07/2019 21:06

That's bloody horrendous! Poor you. I bought a cheap foot peeling socks from Primark, and cursed when they didn't work. I'm glad of this when I read your post! Hope your feet clear up soon.

magoria · 18/07/2019 21:11

If you use moisturiser are you not prolonging the procedure? You are basically softening the skin which is dead/dying and trying to peel off.

Soak them lots.

Alpacathebag · 18/07/2019 21:43

This is not what I want to read having just put on my first ever pair of footner boots! Eek!

Freddiefox · 18/07/2019 21:58

8 weeks is a long time, footner lasts about 2 weeks

Blossom28 · 18/07/2019 22:08

Soak your feet and peel the skin off, moisturiser will just prolong it I’m afraid!

TwistyTop · 19/07/2019 01:16

I haven't used this particular brand, but I have used a couple of others and generally they say not moisturise or exfoliate them during the peeling process. I think it prolongs it.

I know that's hard when your feet look awful, but try to resist!

GibbonLover · 19/07/2019 02:00

Alpaca Footner is much better. That usually lasts 7-8 days for me. It's well worth paying the extra for. Just make time to soak every night and it'll work wonders!

notangelinajolie · 19/07/2019 02:06

I don't think you should be exfoliating or moisturising. Let the peel do it's work.

PatricksRum · 19/07/2019 03:50

I've seen bad reviews on these. Footner are better!

putonyourdancingshoes · 19/07/2019 06:47

I just used this peel on Sunday! Feet haven't started peeling yet though...I'm hoping it doesn't work now, don't fancy 8 weeks of this!

YoungEurope · 19/07/2019 06:53

Oh no, 8 weeks?! I used the same one and my feet have been peeling for 2 weeks now, it's gross and I can't wear sandals as my feet look disgusting. I hope it stops soon.

Singlebutmarried · 19/07/2019 07:12

I did mine last night. The last ones I did peeled for a week so hoping for the same this time.

But I didn’t moisturise. I soaked and peeled.

browzingss · 19/07/2019 10:23

I think I’d rather pay for a pedi - 8 weeks of peeling just seems to defeat the purpose! Hope it clears up soon OP.

Dexterslockedintheshedagain · 19/07/2019 10:29

I had the same thing happen to me! I peeled off the loose skin with a pair of tweezers. Gross, I know, but strangely satisfying

Birdie6 · 19/07/2019 10:36

I had the same result - it sort of spoiled the expected result ! I thought I'd have lovely soft smooth feet - and ended up with peeling which lasted for weeks and looked awful. Now I just use a smoothing / grinding tool and put some moisturiser on the skin.

BelindasRedPlasticHandcuffs · 19/07/2019 11:15

No more moisturising! Soak, soak, soak. That's all you need to do with these peels, and when done properly they can have marvellous results!
