To be pissed at my breast pump.

OK, so it's my own fault for not putting it together right, but I have just spent the last 20 minutes pumping in preparation for my little ones 2am feed, I'd began to wonder why the bottle wont seem fillm beyond the 1oz I've pulled from my other breast. I just moved my hand and a fuck tonne of milk has just leaked down the side of my hand all over my leg and onto my sofa!

Am I being unreasonable to be pissed off with the pump because although it wasn't done up right, it still managed to collect from the other breast incident free?

Breast pumpy bastard Grin

BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil · 17/07/2019 23:28

Breast pumps suck out your soul as well as milk.

They’re all evil and against you.Grin

SudowoodoVoodoo · 18/07/2019 00:09

No such thing as unreasonable about any upset related to wasted breast milk.

"No use in crying over spilled milk" said no lactating mother ever.

What @Bringmewineandcake said!!!

MrsTerryPratchett · 18/07/2019 00:12

Precious milk all wasted. I feel your pain. Stupid bastarding machine.

BobTheFishermansWife · 18/07/2019 09:28

Thanks all, apparently the ounce and a half I had pumped was more than sufficient as he didn't finish that and then slept for 4 hours. I feel like I'm winning at being mummy this morning 😂

I did this a few weeks ago... wondered why my leg felt so warm.
Shitty breast pumps (and definitely not our fault!).

Congrats on the big 4 hour nap!
My DD slept from 5pm til 8:30pm last night (I woke her for a bath because I couldn't bear the thought of her being awake ALL night) went back to sleep around 10:30pm-3:30am, woke for half an hour for a change and feed, then slept til 6am!
We then had to take DP to the train station this morning. She fell asleep in the car around 7:15am and is still asleep now.

I know I'm going to suffer with her tonight but I'm feeling pretty damn productive at the moment.
I've been able to get so much done and had a great nights sleep!

@newmomof1 in so glad I'm not the only one, it's so frustrating.

It was amazing isn't it? It meant I got to have a proper shower and put makeup on today, feeling human!!!

How does yours react to baths, mine had his first last night and booed the whole time, it was heart breaking, definitely made my oh clean him faster.

@BobTheFishermansWife I love how these things are such a treat to us now 😂

She loves them - she's 9 weeks so we've started getting her into a routine and she's having a bath every day at 8pm
She realised today that if she kicks her legs the water makes funny sounds so that's our new fun thing!
She's super smiley so as long as I keep talking to her she keeps smiling while she's being washed 🥰
How olds your little man?

BobTheFishermansWife · 19/07/2019 00:00

Oh yes @newmomof1 the little things you don't consider before a small person takes over!

Awww that sounds amazing, I bet it's so fun having that sort of interaction from her!!! I cannot wait for him to enjoy baths and be old enough to create a real routine, really looking forward to bedtime stories rather then nursary rhymes. He's only 9 days, so I think I'm expecting too much just now 😂

Oh it's amazing. She makes me smile all the time!
Apart from today she got me up at 4:30.
She has been taking half hour naps constantly between wees since 9 😂

He'll be smiling before you know it and you'll wish he was still tiny. I'm already upset that she's not a newborn anymore!
