To think this sun lounger behaviour is cheeky?

Staying at a large hotel with the usual sun lounger issues. It isn't quite a stampede in the morning but if you haven't got one by 10am forgot it.

I'm always ok as I'm wide awake by 7am every day so was out on a lounger at 8am.

Have realised that a couple near me have "bagged" 4 loungers for the day, for 2 of them. Two in the shade and two in the sun. They spend a hour or so in the sun, then leaving stuff on them move six foot away to the others. Then swap back. They've been doing it all day! While others are walking past obviously searching for free ones.

Cheeky, but the other guests just need to grow a spine and take the ones they aren’t actually using at the time.

YANBU - that is really selfish of them!

I’d be tempted to ‘ask’ them if the others are free - they can’t use two at once and I wouldn’t be shy in pointing that out.

You could helpfully point out the supposed 'users' to people who are looking for sun beds if you feel like it.....

Selfish fuckers. If they’re near the pool, “slip” walking past and completely accidentally tip all their stuff into the water. They’ll keep it with them tomorrow,

When they move again OP, simply park yourself down on the ones they've just vacated and stay there.
Or drag them to your desired spot. ( the sunbeds that is, not the couple )

We're on holiday and it's a nightmare. We're not early risers so usually nab 1 bed to share between the 3 of us. I got pissed off watching beds lay empty for FOUR hours yesterday though and pinched 2. The fuckers were annoyed when they returned but they couldn't really tell it was me!

Can you not mention it to a member of staff? Maybe they could query it with them.
It is CF behaviour.

But they cant take the other ones if stuff is left on them. They will say "oh we are keeping them for so and so" I expect if challenged. Just report it to the management and leave it to them!

I'm on holiday abroad too, quiet, self catering with pool, iv noticed sun beds saved with towels on them and no one sitting on them all day, I was down at 9am, went back to the room at 5pm and have watched people looking for empty sun beds all day whilst these sit empty, I'm tempted to go down tonight and throw all the towels in the pool. Some people are so selfish

You have to be the one to point them out as you know that there's only two of them. Even if I saw sunbeds without people but stuff on them I would assume they were in a party of four and two were in the pool/at the bar etc so wouldn't ask.

The management of these properties are the ones who can solve this, any stuff left on unused sunbeds for more than a couple of hours is removed.

I do wish the pool staff were more vigilant about this sort of thing.

But there doesn't seem to be anyone with sun lounger sheriff status. There's entertainment staff organising pool salsa and ping pong tournaments and then cocktail servers.

There's certainly a plethora of empty but claimed loungers. Most people do seem to come back after a couple of hours though.

I'd just pick up their stuff and take it to them five minutes after they move. "You left these behind!"

(Okay, I'm not sure if I'd be brave enough, but I'd love to)
