AIBU to be addicted to AIBU?

Every single night the kids fall asleep, I tidy the house and then think, "great an hour to read my book before bed."
Every night without fail I have a quick 5 minute read of AIBU and then find myself still there at 10pm!!!!
Anyone else?

Nope. Me too. Its been my evening for the last year Grin

ethelfleda · 17/07/2019 21:00

Me too!
I’ve considered asking DH to log me out and change my password!
I don’t use social media - this is where I go instead. It’s not very productive.

HelloyouKant · 17/07/2019 21:00

Me too - I stopped for about a year, it was glorious. Now I’m back to square one. Every- single- day

Herocomplex · 17/07/2019 21:01

Came back after a ten year break (went cold turkey after I realised how crazily engaged I was) and now I’m unable to resist. You’re all far too interesting.
I got exactly the help I needed and was searching for as well. 💐

Gosh don't get me started , I've deleted reinstalled and set up whole new email addresses after changing password to some old gibberish

MolyHolyGuacamole · 17/07/2019 21:05

Same! It's like a train wreck where you can't look away 😂

HairyDogsInUnusualPlaces · 17/07/2019 21:09

my name's Hairy and I'm an aibu addict.

arethereanyleftatall · 17/07/2019 21:15

Yanbu. I have to keep reminding myself that it's not a chore that I must do every day.

QueenArseClangers · 17/07/2019 21:44

Snap! AIBU, Chat, FWR and Relationships.
My ‘5 minutes’ turn into infinity...

PapayaCoconut · 17/07/2019 21:51

Me too. It's the shit to keep be awake whilst doing night feeds. 😆

Bezalelle · 17/07/2019 22:17

Guilty as charged!

highheelsandbobblehats · 17/07/2019 22:19

I thought it was just me. AIBU is my guilty pleasure. CF threads are my favourite.

Iwantacookie · 17/07/2019 22:21

Another addict here. I prefer this to Facebook though.

IDontDrinkTea · 17/07/2019 22:21

PizzaTaste · 17/07/2019 22:36

Skrowten · 17/07/2019 22:41

God, addicted to it for years Blush

ethelfleda · 17/07/2019 22:42

In our defence, many posters on MN seem at least intelligent. Unlike on most social media.
I’ve learned a lot here!
Is this convincing anyone? No?

Pinkcat231 · 17/07/2019 22:58

Same! I ‘went to bed’ at 9.30 tonight and here I am Shock

Mother87 · 17/07/2019 23:30

GuiltyBlushMaybe others troubles/scraps big n small make us feel better about our own??

Got some apparently cracking books lined up... but nope - on here 'unwinding'

(I was on here last month for some advice re DH @ felt very empowered & was well-informed by you lot🤩)

GibbonLover · 17/07/2019 23:31

AIBU can be very educational at times so on that basis, WANBU!

prawnsword · 17/07/2019 23:32

AIBU is this insomnia sufferer’s close companion - like how active & quick threads move ! The time difference obviously helps as night here is your day etc

Herocomplex · 17/07/2019 23:32

Same Mother87 I got advice I’d never have got in real life, and access to a huge amount of hard won experience. It’s changed my life, no doubt.

Ferfeckssake · 17/07/2019 23:34

Keeps me company at night. Easy , uncomplicated reading .
