36+4 period pains

Period pain, under bump and in lower back. Frequent enough for the last hour. Are these normal enough aches or might they be the start of labour?

Phone maternity assessment.

SenoraSurf · 13/07/2019 01:12

Mine said they only want to hear if it involves a change in fetal movement, waters have gone, I can't cope with pain or having 3 contractions in 10 mins.

Yours sounds like it could be early labour but you'll have to wait and see :) good luck!

Rubbinghimsweetly2 · 13/07/2019 01:24

have you needed a poo or had a show at all?

Witchend · 13/07/2019 01:29

My first labour started like that.

hormonesorDHbeingadick · 13/07/2019 01:34

As your preterm then ring maternity assessment.

TwistyTop · 13/07/2019 01:37

Think some people have missed the 36+4 bit - still preterm so definitely ring the maternity. They won't mind at all.

My labour started like this! gOOD LUCK :)

Froglette16 · 13/07/2019 02:58

My second labour felt like period pain. I went to the hospital for a check and BOOM was in active labour v quickly after that. Just go in. Can’t hurt. But sounds like you’re in labour to me. Keep us posted! ❤️

OkPedro · 13/07/2019 03:05

Absolutely yes, this could be the start of labour! contractions for me were like period cramps at first. IMO there isn’t much difference although contractions at the end of labour are more intense than period cramps (it’s the point where you decide “no I’m not doing this, I can’t do this, so I’m going home Grin)

MyOtherProfile · 13/07/2019 03:16

Have you phoned? Are you ok?

CanuckBC · 13/07/2019 03:33

Sounds like contractions/ labour. How are you doing?

WomanLikeMeLM · 13/07/2019 03:36

Good luck OP!

JamesonCask · 13/07/2019 03:42

Sorry fell asleep. Don't feel anything now , really thought it was all kicking off earlier as it lasted a while
