Of course! I’ve been, it wouldn’t be a problem.

Ploppymoodypants · 11/07/2019 13:55

I wore white jeans

Etino · 11/07/2019 13:56

No, Megan! You’ll get torn apart in the press.

toomuchfaster · 11/07/2019 13:57

Too hot surely?

rainbowruthie · 11/07/2019 13:58

I have worn jeans to Wimbledon, no problem at all
(You wouldn't be allowed in the Royal Box though Grin)

TinselTimes · 11/07/2019 13:58

I wouldn’t - if it’s a hot day you’ll bake. But you’re allowed to.

The dress code is only for the royal box and members areas only. If you are attending a corporate hospitality event with a nice lunch then most people will be well-dressed but the invitation will specify a dress code.
If you're going on your own ticket anything goes, it might be too hot for jeans. We all went in shorts yesterday.

I did last week, we had Centre Court tickets DH wore shorts and I had jeans and a t-shirt on. Dress for the weather and in something comfortable, unless of course you are in the Royal Box or in a members area where a dress code would apply.

If you get a chance and want a cheap memento, the used tennis balls are only £1 each or £5 for 6, all stamped Wimbledon 2019 and are the balls used that day. They are sold in a kiosk next to Centre Court (side next to court 18) maximum 6 per person but they do sell out. DH left it too late to get any.

Oh sorry I didn't realise this was one of those silly threads and I answered seriously. People who are given free tickets to attend an event with a dress code should follow it. If I can sit in the members area which has by far the best seats I am happy to sit there in a ball gown and tiara even if it hits 90 degrees.

I went to the women's final last year and wore a cute summer dress with nice flats and felt adequately dressed. There were plenty of casual jean wearers too but they must've been sweltering!!

It would have been too hot in jeans, yes. Glad I went with a summer dress.
