To find overly sentimental adverts annoying

For example the black horse lloyds bank one. The horses are lovely but the music and the overly sentimental 'I'll take care of you' song give me the rage. There are plenty of other examples, this is just the first that comes to mind.

YANBU. It's a bank ffs - why would they 'take care of you' - unless by that they mean 'fuck you over at every available opportunity'? Perhaps that's what they mean.

I agree with you in principle but the Lloyds horses make me cry every time. I was the same with Black Beauty as a kid. Confused

Lloyd's bank say they care for me in the advert, but when I run out of money they're quite happy to charge me. How is charging me for being overdrawn going to help me? It just puts me into more debt. If they looked at my bank account they'd see I'm overdrawn due to massive vet bills for my terminally ill cat, psychiatrist bills for my dcs, food and petrol. If they really cared they wouldn't charge.

To be fair, they’re not a registered charity. I bank with them and had to use an overdraft once and it was fairly cheap as it was authorised.

As for the advert though, bloody nauseating. YANBU OP
