Eating in theatres

I have been to a few performances recently where I was surrounded by constant rustling of wrappers, munching and slurping drinks. It seems that it is impossible for people to sit and watch anything for longer than 5 minutes without stuffing food in their gobs. It is really annoying and ruins the experience. AIBU to think eating in theatres should be banned?

Yes it should.

I eat at the pictures, but only popcorn and i don't slurp what I'm drinking (usually white rum in an iceblast).

But i think the theatre is different. The tickets are £25+ for starters and the sound quality different.

Our local Theatre does seat service, so they make too much money to ban it.
