to expect my DS' Paed to not call me 'big'...

My DS has a now identified rare genetic condition (1/100,000)at a routine appt this week the Paed expressed delight at my formerly small/underweight DS reaching the 50th centile for both weight and height - down to some serious fois gras style feeding and a height spurt.

I commented that my DH was quite small so was not expecting a giant, (DH having weighted only 4st4lbs aged 11, now size 32 waist and 5foot 9 at 47yrs)and he replied "But you aren't"

I'm a size 12-14 bottoms and a 14-16 top, stand around 5'6" so I'm hardly Bella Emberg.

Blardy cheek I think.

but he didn't call you big did he?
He said you're not small, that's different.
You're lovely, now go and drink wine and chill.

Depends on his viewpoint, if he is under 4'8" then ok, otherwise bloody cheeky

brimfull · 27/07/2007 23:09

well you're proably above avg in height for a woman ,he wouldn't have been referring to your weight, which is very normal.

3Ddonut · 27/07/2007 23:09

Of course you're not, Dr's are idiots, especially male Dr's. Ignore him.

brimfull · 27/07/2007 23:09

who's bella emberg?

alycat · 27/07/2007 23:20

I wouldn't mind so much but he is as wide as he is tall, well nearly anyway - look who's fattist now .

Yes, Cad I should chill. As I've recently been going to WW and have lost over 10% of my bodyweight since he last saw me it was a little tender.

I'm with 3Dd.
