I knew it would be coming soon bc she'd been up to the other room for a visit the week before but I was a bit put out when they announced in the morning (of her birthday) that she would move up that day and was to be picked up from the other room.
Of course, she took it all in her stride, but we didn't know that beforehand and I would have preferred to have been able to prepare her for it (and to prepare myself!)
