To expect people NOT to block entrances into shops all because it's raining?

It is so annoying. Yesterday i was in town and i was trying to go in and out of shops but every shop had people standing in the doorways blocking it. Then when you say excuse me they get abit funny with you.

No one likes to get wet and as the rain was set in for the day, standing in shop doorways isn't going to make the rain stop. Either take a brolly or brave getting wet.

Of COurse!

IcingOnTheCake · 27/07/2007 21:57

My point is, the rain wasn't going to stop so people blocking the doorways really isn't nessasary because they were gonna get wet whether they wait there 2 minutes or 20 minutes!

I'm in the minority (again!), but I don't think YABU. They don't have to stand in the door way, and what do they think will happen to them if they do, shock horror, get wet? Melt? Dissolve?

It's only water people (but I do acknowledge the devastation that the floods have and are continuing to cause...).

I quite like getting wet if it's a good downpour. Got soaked yesterday, was fine until I realised that I had put my other two pairs of trousers (limited wardrobe, seven days overdue with child number 2) in the washing machine before we left the house. Spent the rest of the day in a pair of rather fetching pyjamas and hoped nobody dropped in unexpectedly

Still, was lovely sploshing home in the rain in my sandals. Love getting wet feet

funny.

YABU.

I waited in an entrance one day last week. Yes I knew I was going to get wet, but I just wanted to have five before the blardy rain got me again.
