To ask where is nice to elope to?

Divorced my partner after 10 years together and 2 kids. Reconciled a while ago but have obviously done the whole wedding thing previously so don't want a big fuss or a 'do'.
Would like to elope but places like Vegas are a bit too much/busy/chaotic.
So where other than Vegas is a good place to elope to?

Gretna Green? It has an interesting history as young people used to run away there to marry (they could get married there earlier than they could in England). you can read more about it here

Hawaii. Quick and easy to sort out but also beautiful and interesting.

Hawaii / Fiji / lots of the Caribbean all allow weddings within a couple of days. Or are you just looking for a nice location and don’t need the quick marriage license?

Was coming on to suggest Vegas 😳

We did it there in our hotel suite with a celebrant.

Gretna is beautiful, my MIL eloped there last year.

California, we did that a few years ago. Beach location, not very expensive and much better option for us than Las Vegas. PM me if you would like more details!

Florida is also easy and has some nice places. That was my second choice.

We got married in Nevada, $200 for the ceremony including photography. We chose to have the ceremony bit ("I do") in Red Rock Canyon National Park and there was no one else around, it was absolutely lovely. No fuss, but romantic and really special.

I also considered Gibraltar - very easy to consider and quite cheap!

Edinburgh, or anywhere in romantic Scotland. Book into a castle hotel.

Hebrides.
Cornwall.

Mauritius - a bit obvious but they really are good at it, plus it’s Scots/English law so really simple if you’re in U.K. . The country is beautiful and has lots of interesting areas away from the posh hotels.

Crear wee weddings, on the Scottish coast. You have a cottage for 2 nights and they supply witnesses.

Santorini or Amalfi coast

When I was in Iceland, I met a couple who’d gone there to elope.

Oh wow! Thanks for the replies I didn't think I'd get any responses! Some lovely ideas I hadn't thought of!
Not in a rush really but don't want a big deal with lots of people - just us and maybe a couple of our best friends.
By the way I ha nothing isn't Vegas at all it's just I'm quite a low key person and Vegas is anything but haha
