To think I'm not actually pregnant and somethings wrong?

Going to be roasted for this but here goes.

I had baby #4, 13weeks ago. I'm exclusively breastfeeding (I know it isn't fail-proof contraception). I started taking the cerazette pill 4 weeks ago during 1st actual period since birth. I took it religiously and wasn't sick or late with any of them. DH is having a vasectomy soon.

DH and I dtd on day 7 of taking the pill, while I was still bleeding. We used a condom too but it had torn unbeknown to us until removing it. I stopped bleeding two days later. I thought since I was within safe time limit of the pill we were OK.

I'm a poas addict and always check before planning to have a drink, I haven't had one since April last year before conceiving #4.

To my shock pregnancy tests are showing stupidly light +

It's really hard to catch it on camera so I've popped a filter on to show it easier. Pic taken within 3mins, there is very faint pink in the line. I've never had a frer let me down.

Could I really have conceived 7 days into the pill, while bleeding? That would make me 4-5w pregnant but the test is so faint compared to my other pregnancies. We haven't dtd since.

Can anything else cause this? I've been taking the pill every day since and am worried I've harmed the baby if there is one. I honestly am in shock and disbelief. Has anyone got any experience of other things causing a false positive?

That’s a very faint line for 4/5 weeks. You’re not long after giving birth so possibly your hormones are still all over the place causing a faint false positive.

I’m no expert though. Leave it a week and test again.

I might be wrong, but given how high your HCG was just a few weeks ago, I wouldn’t rule it out that’s it’s still in your system. Think of how long it took to double and double etc - surely it takes a while to leave your body too?

TheLime · 03/07/2019 11:40

It takes 3-4 weeks for HCG to clear your system.

I would repeat test in a week and if still a line see GP x

@TheLime

It's been 13weeks since I gave birth, surely they should have all been gone a while ago now Confused

It is possible. The pill isn't a contraceptive that early in taking it and your condom split. So you essentially had semi/unprotected sex. That line is really faint though considering it's been 3 weeks.

Smellbowpenisbeaker · 03/07/2019 12:10

Yeah that’s not a 3 week pregnancy... Or 5, technically.

I know people think FRER are the holy grail of pregnancy tests but they aren't.

They give out false faint lines left right and centre. I've seen them with my own eyes.

I'd say it's extremely unlikely that Shiite pregnant.

DontBiteTheBoobThatFeedsYou · 03/07/2019 12:12

Wtf?! You're not Shiite.

How did that even happen?!
