To just go to bed?

We have guests staying this weekend (my cousin and her dp) travelled from abroad to attend a wedding of another family member (I was not invited, fine).

My cousin said they would likely to be the first to leave as her dp has not been well lately. Its now 11pm, and I am starting a new job in the morning and need to be up at 6am. AIBU to just go to bed, leaving the front door unlocked (they haven't got a key), and just message dcousin to let her know?

Of course not.

I would've lent them my key though in your position.

Absolutely 100% reasonable, go and get your head down. Good luck tomorrow!

They did say they wouldn't be late! My ds (16) had offered to wait up a while longer so I can go to bed. There's a risk if I don't go now I'm going to be stuck chatting with them when they do get back

Go to bed!

(Maybe leave your phone on so they can call if there's a big problem but tell them you have gone to bed and to avoid calling you if at all possible)

Yes go to bed, and good luck tomorrow!

Definitely just text them then get some sleep :)
