About urine all over the bathroom floor

TigerJoy · 28/06/2019 00:35

Just used bathroom after DH and there was liquid splattered all around the loo. I asked what it was and he said "...ah might be a bit of pee...but don't worry I cleared it up"

I mopped it up a bit more and it was definitely pee - I had walked all over it in bare feet! I asked him to clean it ip properly and he just started wiping it with paper towel, no cleaning spray and I got really angry (because he does less than the bare minimum around the house and now I even have to tell him to mop pee off the floor), and now he's angry that I got angry.

We're both tired but that's disgusting, right? I mean at least clean it properly, otherwise it'll be me cleaning the stinky bathroom floor tomorrow.

So he thought he might have peed on the floor but just left it?
Is he 3years old?

TigerJoy · 28/06/2019 00:47

Apparently he cleared it up but obviously did a half arsed job. No he is not 3 years old, although I did ask him something similar! More rude words involved though 😂😂😂

Why are you asking us if it's disgusting?

Don't you already know?

I think you have stayed up a little too late tonight.

avamiah · 28/06/2019 00:55

Baritriwsahys,
I think your a little harsh with your response.
MN is 24 hours .

Baritriwsahys · 28/06/2019 00:57

I don't really care what you think 🤷‍♀️

avamiah · 28/06/2019 01:01

Baritriwsahys,
Why is that ?
That’s my opinion

TigerJoy · 28/06/2019 01:14

🤣 yes I am tired and so is DP.

Bedtime all round I guess! Including for grumpy commentators 🤨😴

Hehe oh lord

Rant on here
Most def needed
Hope he then cleaned it up properly

madcatladyforever · 28/06/2019 01:18

I would have gone mental. This is why I live alone. I can't deal with this lazy man shit.
My adult son would never do this.

mouldyhousemouldylife · 28/06/2019 01:19

@Baritriwsahys looks like it's you who's stayed up a little too late tonight judging by the miserable bitch attitude.

mouldyhousemouldylife · 28/06/2019 01:19

OP yanbu ignoring the miserable fucks

mouldyhousemouldylife · 28/06/2019 01:19

Ignore *

HUZZAH212 · 28/06/2019 01:21

Sounds like you're pissed off about more than the piss. If he's not pulling his weight in the house, and then can't even be arsed to mop up his own piss it speaks volumes. What next? Will he shit next to his side of the bed because the bathroom seems too far away to bother going to....

TigerJoy · 28/06/2019 01:33

Huzzah212 that's it, you've hit the nail on the head. I'm fed up with the state of our house, and he always puts work first and uses it as an excuse for not pulling his weight.

I have been nagging him a lot recently but I am really fed up. I work full time as well! I have dropped my standards as far as they will go and wee on the floor is a hard red line for me! I think even he would draw the line at pooing next to the bed. I hope! 🤣💩💩💩

Any tips on how to get men to pull their weight? Is there an app to chart housework - he's always saying he does more than I realise. 🤨

I think Baritriwsahys is the one who stayed up too late tonight and is now acting like an overtired petulant toddler Grin

1forAll74 · 28/06/2019 01:41

Maybe get a dog, they usually cock their legs up on a lamp post,or a fence,or sometimes car tyres. and never on a bathroom floor. !

notangelinajolie · 28/06/2019 01:50

Meh. You need to pick your arguments - if you want a long marriage this is one to let go. Just clean the bloody floor if it bothers you that much.

HUZZAH212 · 28/06/2019 02:03

I have similar DP issues 😒 I'll ask for a task to be done, it won't be done, I'll end up doing it myself. I've tried the I'm not going to do it route but then I'll cave because it's annoyed me so much.. Self fulfilling bloody prophecy! - You don't need an app you need a rota with division of labour taped to your fridge with shiny gold stars. Give it a month and I bet his tasks remain un-starred... You then get to bask in a treat for yourself and he gets to suck it up that he's not completing all the mythical tasks he believes he's fulfilling.

snitzelvoncrumb · 28/06/2019 02:11

I read on another forum a lady left a bit of pee and blood on the toilet seat for her husband to clean up before he used the toilet. It got the point across.
As for getting him to help more give him chores that relate to him like washing his own clothes. You need to think about what he is more likely to do, and things that will bother him, for example my husband hates spending money he doesn't have to, so I would get him to pack the lunches as he would be annoyed at us all buying lunch. You need to think of consequences that come from him being lazy, not you telling him off.

Sobeyondthehills · 28/06/2019 02:11

Are you fucking kidding me? Why should anyone clean up an able bodied grown mans piss?

HUZZAH212 · 28/06/2019 02:16

@notangelinajolie Are you OP's husband?

K1ssIt · 28/06/2019 02:19

Fuck that.
I'd rather have no marriage than a long one to someone who expects me to mop his piss up for him.

Birdie6 · 28/06/2019 02:44

What is this with grown men who can't get their pee into the toilet bowl? I just don't get it. Are they so lazy that they can't be bothered to point Percy at the porcelain ?

MyOpinionIsValid · 28/06/2019 03:21

I have a theory on this;

Little boys are short! So when they start aiming, they are barely 2 inches over the rim of the loo. As they get older and taller, the distance from the bowl to the penis increases, thus the length of stream increases. Seeing as a bladder does not have the water pressure of a hose pipe, its going to falter and spray, especially in uncircumcised men who don't pull the foreskin back

The only viable answer is to sit and dangle it between the legs.

This however does not absolve a grown man from not clearing up his mess.

Have you tried the ping pong ball method ?

TigerJoy · 28/06/2019 07:36

Myopinionisvalid 🤣🤣🤣 he is in his late 30s

Absolutely no way I was letting this one go. I probably shouldn't have lost my temper but no, he cleans up his own sodding wee!

Hurrah212 I have actually already suggested to him a sticker chart on the fridge! Then whoever does the least has to pay for something! I hate to treat him like a child but I am so pissed off
