Trying to decide which event to go to as there are none near me. Any recommendations?

I honestly didn't even know there was an armed forces day Blush

MyOpinionIsValid · 27/06/2019 15:19

Should we be doing anything?

BoudiccaKate · 27/06/2019 15:20

Being pissed off that my dz is closed for jumping.

QuickQuestion2019 · 27/06/2019 15:21

Worrying about it making Leave voters even more jingoistic

margherita5 · 27/06/2019 15:35

Nothing. Grateful to everyone who serves in the armed forces but don't feel it's necessary for me to celebrate them.

floribunda18 · 27/06/2019 15:49

Why on earth should we be doing anything?

MyFokMarelize · 27/06/2019 15:50

What QuickQuestion said. It will bring them all out in droves and fire up their gammon coloured bellies. Such a shame but there it is.

Sirzy · 27/06/2019 15:52

Going to a local fundraising event which is always an enjoyable day

margherita5 · 27/06/2019 15:52

My uncle died in service and just thought it would be nice to go somewhere I've not been before for the service. Didn't realise it wasn't the done thing. Sorry!

We've signed up as a family to do a 10 mile walk over 13 bridges in London however I'm not sure whether the kids will be able to do it. I run it by DP when I first signed us up but he seems to be backing out a bit now.

DC are 5, 9 and 12. We figured we would bring a picnic and lots of sweet treats to have a long the way. Bring the scooters to assist with walking and have plenty of breaks to rest but the weather is supposed to be super hot so I'm a bit worried the kids will hate it.

I might have to go it on my own as people have sponsored us and I can't let the charity down.

Likethebattle · 27/06/2019 19:46

Never heard of it, is it like rememberance day?

Herbalteahippie · 27/06/2019 19:48

Maybe contact your local Royal British Legion as it was someone in your family sadly lost in service they’ll know what’s going on x
