The thing that pisses me off is the fact we don’t have a say in it. It’s constant, but it’s irrelevant for most of us.

Every time Operation Shaft Boris (honorary chairman: A.B. Johnson) seems to be gaining traction I perk up for a moment before I think “oh shit, that guarantees Hunt as Prime Minister”. So I say the longer the better, if there’s even the tiniest chance that something juicy will come out about Hunt, a Lebanese anaesthetist and two goats and they’ll have to give up and start again.

Am prepared to be be wrong but I think Boris will bottle it somehow. I think once he sees how much hard work being pm is, and the level of scrutiny he will have to endure , a suspiciously mild but handy heart attack will give him an honourable way out. He's not up to the job and i think there's a small but growing bowel loosening knot of terror stirring in him ....one can but hope.
