It's got to be surely? Boris appears too chaotic and disorganised.

I think he's gaining support but he voted remain which will be the nail in his coffin with the membership.

No. I think people who are pro-Boris will support him regardless of how he behaves or what he does. He’s cultivated a very specific personality that people want to believe in, and Jeremy Hunt hasn’t. And this isn’t a dig at your OP but he’s the only politician I can think of who gets called by his first name only. Jeremy Hunt or Boris. People want to see him as the bumbling, oops-I-did-it-again David Cameron antithesis and he’s been very careful to make himself appear that way. He’s done so many terrible things, a lot of questionable things, his private life is a shambles and nobody gives a fuck because he sometimes bumbles a bit through questions rather than answering them and he was funny on Have I Got News For You. It’s nauseating.

I think that's just because Boris is not that common a name so we all know who we're talking about

I think Jeremy Hunt is known by another name too...

familycourtq · 24/06/2019 10:09

Not a great choice is it? Shit or shite.

Pumperthepumper · 24/06/2019 10:09

I don’t think it’s a happy accident, it’s to make him more approachable. His real name is Alexander.

Buddytheelf85 · 24/06/2019 10:17

Nah, he’s a remainer at heart, so the party’s members won’t vote him in.

Mind you, I don’t think Boris believes in Brexit for a moment, but he’s too far down that road now!

@familycourtq has it about right.
