I wondered if anyone on here lives in Spain and has any inkling of what is likely to happen to Brits' rights to live in Spain once Brexit happens? Or how they will treat new immigrants? (i.e. has the Spanish government give any indication of what they are planning)
Just a bit of background:
I emigrated down under in my 20s and it took years to get residency and it was a hideously difficult points system...I had to have enough points to be able to live there and even had to hire an immigration lawyer to fight my corner. Took years.
I don't live there anymore and am now looking at a move to Spain in October and wondering if I can anticipate something as difficult as my Aussie move given Brexit is about to happen and presumably Brits will no longer have the right to live in Spain unless they've been there for a while......
I realise none of us can predict the future but just wondering what peoples' thoughts are.
I am self-employed and plan to be when I move over there.
