Hi all. Posting for traffic
My in laws are in their early 70s and are so amazing and helpful we would love to take them away for a few days to say thank you for lots of things. It’s been a bit of a shit year, MIL has had a double mastectomy and FIL a myriad of health issues. He’s very limited with mobility though he doesn’t admit his discomfort. Somewhere flat is necessary really - somewhere easily navigated around all the better.
Now for even more Complications! We have two young children so honestly a hotel room is our idea of hell. Ideally we would have a 2 bed apartment with a lounge area so we could relax after putting them to bed. PIL would much rather a hotel with all its trappings.
We would love to have somewhere with a pool and hopefully an interesting town or a beach.
1.5-2hrs from London max
AIBU to ask for your recommendations?!

North House, Cowes
Some of the Devon ones are really nice but a bit far possibly. South sands, Salcombe has hotel and apartments.
Dart Marina also has self catering and hotel. It’s good and children and grandad can crab on the quay.

Royal Albion in Broadstairs is nearer and on the beach but not as smart.

The Cooden Beach Hotel at Bexhill is right on the beach. There are both family rooms and inter connecting rooms.
