To think it IS possible to have a nice MIL wedding story?

I found a twitter thread where a woman's MIL ACTUALLY WORE A WEDDING DRESS to her wedding and no one died. In fact, they have a good relationship and she seems lovely. Just wanted to bring it to everyone's attention. Head over to twitter for the whole thread. It is quite refreshing.

Yes she had a hard life but
She’s trying to say she couldn’t find another dress that’s wasn’t a wedding dress??
Luckily the bride had maturity and a big heart.

When my DH's son got married last year, his ex ( mother of the groom) wore a full length ivory dress which was a virtual wedding dress. Nobody seemed to mind at all - it was obvious who was the bride and nobody died of angst about it. So yes it can be done.

My MIL is lovely. In fact, I have two (DH's mum and his dad's wife) and both are great.
