To think a baby could be teething at 2 months old?

DS is 11 weeks now and for the past week or so he has had excessive saliva and has been chewing his hands (or his arm, our shoulders, etc) an awful lot.

He's my first so I don't know if this is because he is teething, but I remember my sister's kids looked similar when they were teething (can't remember how old they were tho).

Yep, totally possible. DS has 2 teeth at 3 months.

Babies can be born with teeth and teeth at any time. One of mine got their first tooth at 8 weeks.
They can also be very dribble etc regardless, that’s fine too.

It is more often a developmental thing of finding their hands and their saliva glands maturing. Teeth not impossible but all babies have these symptoms at this age.

Wow! Thanks for the replies. I guess time will tell if it's teething or if the dribbling etc is just developmental. Amazing that some babies can teethe so early!
