Has anyone had Zoladex

I've been offered Zoladex injections for 6 months to try and reboot my hormones basically out of the my full cycle I only feel like me for two days ( if that makes sense) anyway I was just wondering if anyone has had this and how they felt afterwards xx

I had 6 months of Zoladex to stop my periods, kick start my menopause and shrink my huge fibroids. I still had my period each month and I didn't start my menopause. My fibroids didn't change either. Sorry to be negative, but it didn't work for me.

I had zoladex to try to protect my fertility/perserve my eggs whilst I was having chemo.

It's difficult for me to separate the side effects from the chemo, but I had some hot flushes and felt very 'even' in terms of my mood (really stable, no ups and downs, also no interest in cute animals and babies - genuinely remember thinking that this must be what being a man feels like and thus being a man must be easy!). My periods stopped, which was great because it was one less thing to worry about.

Coming off zoladex was like being switched 'on' again and going through puberty part 2 - I got some stretch marks, my skin went a bit crazy and I had mood swings. I got back to normal after a few weeks though and my periods came back as they were before.

I had Zoladex 20 years ago due to endometriosis, my main memory is that the hot flushes were brutal.

10 years ago I had Prostap for a few months before hysterectomy.

Thank you all for replying
It's really hard because they are treating me for premenstrual dyspeptic disorder and I'm not fully convinced it is this
I have constant hot flushes increasing everyday heart palpitations anxiety that's got so bad I can no longer take my little girl to school let alone go to a shop myself and the only reason they are saying this because 1 day out of my full cycle I might wake up feeling better than I do every other day.
I'm at a loss now and they want to give me this injection to stop my periods but I'm really worried it will make it worse xx

watching with interest - i've been offered zoladex or prostap while on the waiting list for hysterectomy (severe endo)
if i accept i've been offered HRT to combat the side effects.

Am not sure at the moment what to do.

I had zoladex to try to shrink Endometriosis growth. Good news was I didn't have any hot flushes, bad news was I felt very low on it - tired and weepy a lot of the time. It was definitely the zoladex causing it as I felt so much better within a few days of the last injection leaving my system. I'd never take it again unless it was life threatening.

I'm back next week for deciding say I think it's more pre menopause but they think not I'm honestly lost I just want to feel like me again xx
