At last that poor woman has had justice and hope that those vile people get a very long sentence and Margaret’s body is found.

Poor thing. I can't believe she fell through the cracks like that.

AgentProvocateur · 14/06/2019 18:54

Yes, it’s an awful case, and when the trial collapsed before, I didn’t think they’d get a conviction. Well done, Police Scotland.

Shocking that someone with a learning disability can fall off the radar, and that no social workers or medical staff raised the alarm.

HerondaleDucks · 14/06/2019 18:54

It's taken such a long time for her to get the justice.
Do we have a full story of what happened now?

sweetkitty · 14/06/2019 18:56

Horrible story, poor poor woman.

Redglitter · 14/06/2019 18:56

I hope an enquiry is now launched into what seems to be some serious SW failings

So glad they got a guilty verdict

MrsMiggins37 · 14/06/2019 18:58

I completely agree. What a wicked pair. And all those lies they told, that she was a gang master? Wtf?

This article is so sad

The whole thing was just bonkers. I didn't realise she was so young when she disappeared either.

They're absolute bad bastards.

SouthWestmom · 14/06/2019 19:29

Oh wow this fell off my radar - there's a conviction? Fantastic

Rivera36 · 14/06/2019 19:36

I too was delighted, I feared as they hadnt found her, or knew cause of death, the not proven verdict would be used.

SouthWestmom · 14/06/2019 20:36

She was subjected to daily punishment which included being tied up, having her hair cut short and deprived of food. The treatment which she was subjected to can only be described as horrific and the conditions in which she lived in were utterly disgusting and uninhabitable.

I didnt know this part.

CoolCarrie · 14/06/2019 20:45

It is truly shocking that a young woman should be “forgotten “ by social services, and I am so sick of hearing the phrase that “lessons will be learned “ which no doubt will be uttered by someone when there is an enquiry, which there has to be surely, in to Margaret ‘s tragic death.
