Went for an interview. Great interview, lots of “that’s a good way of thinking” and “I like that.” Seems like I was on the same corporate wavelength, CV was noted as having the vast majority of the right experience. Towards the end I felt that I was pretty well in there.
Right up until the closing statements. Thanks for coming, few more to see etc, we’ll be in touch. (Fine so far) then..... “Just to say, if you don’t get the job, here, I’m sure you’ll have no problem picking up a job, the feedback I’ve put is really strong”
Part of me thinks, yeah, for some reason I’m not what they want. But another part says he submits his comments to the recruitment team, they use some matrix to score it and he’s been in the position before where he’s seen people not offered the job and he can’t see why so is being courteous just in case that happens here.
I didn’t get it, did I? Or, maybe I did. AIBU to think it’s a no. (But hope it’s a yes!)
