It's driving me mad, all three of us have been looking, they're both in bed now.

I know it will be in the last place I look Grin before a bright spark adds this.

It's because I can't find it, not that it's my phone. Dh and ds will make sure I get up.

Ok, shelves, drawers, work tops, wardrobes, window cills, office, 3 bedrooms, bathroom, separate toilet, landing, stairs, hall, frontroom, backroom, downstairs loo, kitchen diner, conservatory.
Hoping it's not outside.

Have you used DH's phone to call it?

managedmis · 11/06/2019 01:41

Do you have a toddler?

nettie434 · 11/06/2019 01:41

I ring myself from landline when I do this. Sorry, you have probably tried that already. Good luck

ox136jl · 11/06/2019 01:42

A pocket? The car? Plugged in to charge? Down the side of a chair? In the fridge (where mine was once - disclaimer, we did have a toddler at the time!)?

ox136jl · 11/06/2019 01:43

@managedmis Crosspost!

S1naidSucks · 11/06/2019 01:45

Down the side/back of the sofa or under it.
In the fridge
Hid in a plant pot
In a pocket
Under a newspaper/book
In the bathroom or down the loo. Do you normally have it in your back pocket? It could have fallen out when you went to the loo

S1naidSucks · 11/06/2019 01:45

Do you have find a friend on it, OP?

S1naidSucks · 11/06/2019 01:46

Have you looked down the side of the car seat, especially alongside the bars under the seat?

RomanyQueen · 11/06/2019 01:51

I've not been in the car. I had it earlier and I've been tidying up. it could be anywhere.
The fridge and daft places were the first dh and ds checked Grin I've even been over where they have been as both suffer from being able to stare at something and not be able to see it.
I hope I haven't caught it off them.

Don't ask me about apps I don't use them, it's on silent, nobody ever calls me anyway, except dd and I missed that as lost my bloody phone.

OP posts:
QuestionableMouse · 11/06/2019 01:56

In the bin/bags?

If it's on vibrate try ringing it, I've found mine like that.

RomanyQueen · 11/06/2019 02:04

We did this earlier, they only went to bed with their phones about 12.30/ 1.00

No small kids ds is a grown up. I don't need the phone so much, can contact most people in other ways, it's just so annoying. I also take the piss (but do help to look) when they lose keys, glasses, or gadgets Grin

If it's Android I think it will have "find device" on it by default. It lets you override the silent setting from another device and play a sound so you can find it. You just need your Google sign-in.

SeaToSki · 11/06/2019 02:28

In the washing basket, under a pile of books, in the pile of post you cleared off the table, in the fridge, hopefully not in the washing machine 😬

S1naidSucks · 11/06/2019 02:28

If you’ve just tidied up, did you lift it with a pile of stuff and put it in a drawer on a shelf, with said stuff?

RomanyQueen · 11/06/2019 02:35

Have been through all drawers and on shelves, in wardrobes, on desks, worktops,.
I knew it was a mistake tidying up, it's much better cluttered in a mess.

winetomorrow · 11/06/2019 02:40

Mine usually turns up in my dressing gown pocket or on top of the washing machine

Linning · 11/06/2019 04:41

If you use an android, go on your laptop, make sure you are connected on your google account, type "find my phone" on google, it will show you your android device, you can ring it, even if your phone is in silence mode it will ring at the loudest setting.

I do it most days, because I keep leaving my phone on silent and losing it.

Crapplepie · 11/06/2019 04:47

It's not in your hand is it? Grin I only ask as sometimes I lose my glasses when they're on my face

GrotchCoblin · 11/06/2019 05:04

Last time this happened to me I found it in my bra... Yes, the one I was wearing!

RomanyQueen · 11/06/2019 10:18

I found it just now. Stayed up half the night, finally fell asleep about 4is, just got up.
Went to get breakfast and it was behing the toaster. No idea how or why as hadn't used the toaster since the morning.

Log in to your googe account if its android and type 'find my phone' it will make the phone ring even when on silent.

sweetpea2811 · 11/06/2019 10:30

I always lose my phone (and my car keys) so got a Tile keyring for Christmas. It's great! I can call my keys form my phone, and call my phone form my keys... And in the sad event I lose both I can make them ring from my laptop!
