To love my iPhone charging pad

To be honest it's not an iPhone one it's a cheap alternative but I don't have to faff with leads anymore. I dreadful for losing carvers and this way the charger isn't transported and I can lose it!

Pad on bedside table, pad on kitchen, pad at work and just a charger in the car.

Love it!

Have I missed any downsides?

Chargers not carvers!

Sounds good. Are they expensive?

BigRedLondonBus · 10/06/2019 22:23

Not heard of it. Off to google

greenrockstar · 10/06/2019 22:24

Amazon £14.95 I've just got the iPhone XR so not sure what other iPhones they work with..

Where did u buy it? Bought one from Amazon, useless, binned it. Please recommend, I want one.

Leafyhouse · 10/06/2019 22:27

I bought a wireless charger off Amazon for literally 1p, with £3.99 postage from China. I'd best go plant some trees or something, won't be able to do that kind of thing for much longer...

BananaCatto · 10/06/2019 22:27

Yes! I got one for my birthday and it’s life changing. Slowly buying one for every room of the house

greenrockstar · 10/06/2019 22:28

@Leafyhouse is that the same as the pad? Or is there no pad?

OP posts:
QOD · 10/06/2019 22:29

I had one before but you had to plug an adapter thing into the actual iPhone. So it was totally pointless!
Any links folks? iPhone 8 Plus

greenrockstar · 10/06/2019 22:31

@longwayoff on amazon Anker charger £14.95.

Do these work with the iPhone 7?

Leafyhouse · 10/06/2019 22:32

Not sure if I'm allowed to post direct links, but here it is: www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07H357GNX/ref=cm_sw_r_wa_apa_i_mVS.CbKQTN98B

Leafyhouse · 10/06/2019 22:33

Not iPhone 7. iPhone 8, XR, XS. Samsung Galaxy as well. Anything else, couldn't say.

longwayoff · 10/06/2019 22:35

Thanks rockstar, off to buy one now.

OhioOhioOhio · 10/06/2019 22:36

Why is it so good?

Kittekats · 10/06/2019 22:38

I bought one and ended up giving it away as I hated it. I found one litre bump pushed it off the sweet spot and you’d go back to an uncharged phone. I have gone back to wires.

SlimGin · 10/06/2019 22:39

The one we have charges soooo slow (apparently it's so you can leave it charging overnight and it doesn't swell up the battery?) And it gets really hot whether it's charging or not. It also has a really bright blue light when charging which really annoys me at night! Also annoys me that I can't charge and use my phone at the same time.
I do still like it but those are the downsides IME.

QOD · 10/06/2019 23:21

Yeah that’s what I had. And you have to plug and adapter in so was pointless and if it moved a mm it didn’t charge
