I've never listened to a podcast before and haven't a clue how you even access them. Apparently I'm a complete dinosaur! So can anyone recommend a good one to listen to? Thanks!

The Dropout!!

James O’Brien’s Full Disclosure. Very interesting. He just talks for an hour to interesting people but does it really well. Highlights for me have been Steve Coogan, Kenneth Clarke and Billy Bragg.

Tinytomato2 · 08/06/2019 23:16

How do you find them?

Shagged, Married, Annoyed by Chris and Rosie Ramsey- absolutely hilarious!

TheClitterati · 09/06/2019 01:03

"Have you heard George's podcast?" Is brilliant.

Sparklesocks · 09/06/2019 01:10

I like Criminal, it’s interviews and stories of ‘criminals’ - well people who have committed crimes - some are more traditional crimes but others are stranger or more obscure, or their story allows you to understand how they got there.

Also like Kermode and Mayo’s Film Review.

Donhill · 09/06/2019 01:36

Another vote for kermode and mayo’s film review. I also like - we watch anything. They search Netflix for the lesser known films to try and find recommendations.

Love stories (Dolly Alderton)
Horne section
Walking the Dog (Emily Dean)
David Tennant does a podcast

I find things I like the sound of and listen to an episode. If I get bored I move on...

Southern Fried True crime

Teachers pet was interesting ( assuming you are not in Australia where you cant get it at the moment due to the current trial of Chris Dawson)
The Drop out is good
There is a Mn section on podcasts. Some good recommendations in there.

notacooldad · 09/06/2019 23:48

How do you find them?
Do you mean the different podcasts once you have a platform?
Either by suggestions that come up or you can search by interest eg music, politics, current affairs, comedy etc.
I tend to go for true crime. I dont like some of the presenting styles so I move on until I find a style I like.
