To think this is way too expensive... (Home improvements)

I have a door outside my front door. It houses the gas and electricity meter, good for leaving parcels, some neighbours use theirs as a bin cupboard etc.

It's a full size door, not a half cupboard. The door is falling apart and desperately needs replacing.

I've had two joiners / carpenters out and the quotes were £375 and £450.

I appreciate these people are self employed and need to earn a living (don't we all!) but it seems ridiculously expensive. I'll be honest. I expected it to cost £175-£200 max.

Anyone had a similar job done? Was it this expensive?

Does the price include the door? Exterior doors can cost a lot so I don't think that is too bad, depending on the type of door they are planning to supply.

Is the frame also rotting and needing to be replaced?

Yes. Includes the door. Not sure if it's off the shelf and cut to size, or made from scratch.

Frame isn't rotten, but is loose. Both chaps said that it could be screwed back in though.
