To get annoyed with scaremongering on FB

There has been some debate on my local FB page about 5g. I don’t want this to turn into a debate on 5g, I admit I don’t know enough to make an informed decision on whether or not I object to its roll out but......

Links have been posted to YouTube videos saying that the nazis used 5g in ww2??? And the government are going to weaponise 5g to control our minds??? Links to ‘Peer reviewer papers’ from the 60’s and 70’s. And today some posts about how Lloyd’s of London won’t insure any thing caused by Electro Magnetic Fields, I can’t find anything from Lloyd’s to say this.

The one that has really got up my nose is a post saying that if your smart meter causes a fire your insurance won’t cover it? Is that even true?

My local FB page seems to attract all the conspiracy theorists, climate change deniers and right wingers in my town. Some of the conversations are properly crazy and quite aggressive. Which is strange as on the surface it’s a very peaceful place. I don’t ever engage in these conversations and try to ignore them as much as possible. It’s a shame because there is lots of useful and interesting stuff posted there too.

I quite often stop looking at Facebook. It makes me feel much better about life. And then it sucks me back in...
