Had a weird patch of hard white skin, which I picked off Blush it came back bigger, so of course I picked it off again Blush

Underneath was this weird blister looking thing (it's not showing properly on the photo but in real life it's like a blister filled with blood)

Do I bother the GP with it?

Blood blister? I always thing if you're unsure, don't bother asking Mums Netters who will always try their best, but see a medical professional. It's the only way you will know for certain.

Probably a wart!

Bluetrews25 · 05/06/2019 18:13

Pharmacist?

ChipInTheSugar · 05/06/2019 18:16

Dunno but I've got some patches like that round the back of my ankles! I thought it was pomphlyx or other type of eczema.

EZA15 · 05/06/2019 18:40

Is that a Fitbit? Does your strap rub your skin there? I only ask because I’ve got the same where my Fitbit strap rubs my skin! Never happened with any other watch though!

Cornettoninja · 05/06/2019 18:43

Pharmacist is a good shout. Do you lean funnily on your hand on a computer or anything?

As an aside dermatologists always impress me with their ability to distinguish weird red blotchy things from one another Grin

NaturWilde · 05/06/2019 18:45

I had something similar to that that, see your doc, I wasn’t expecting mine to be anything but it was Bowen’s. Easily treatable but thank goodness my doc spotted it.

WhoTheFuckIsThis · 05/06/2019 20:32

I'll go and show the pharmacist - she's ace

I think it's the fact that it seems to be growing that freaked me a bit!

How long have you had it? I had a weird patch of hard dry skin on my forehead that I kept picking at. I'd had it for years then decided to go and get it checked, I expected to be laughed out of the surgery but he referred me to the dermatologist. It was skin cancer.

If you've had it more than 4 weeks you should go and get it checked as anything normal should heal in that time.

MrsElizabethShelby · 11/06/2019 20:40

My money is on wart

LordBuckley · 11/06/2019 20:51

Might be actinic keratosis. Don't pick it, and get a referral to a dermatologist to be on the safe side.

ohhelpohnoitsa · 11/06/2019 21:02

When it 'grows' is it crusted? Sound like impetigo - fixed in a couple of days with cream.
