currently pregnant. I can see into my belly button now I'm getting bigger and thought I could see some belly button fluff. tried to remove it and turns out its a piece of my cord that's still in there attached??! I have a really deep belly button and I've never seen it in my 35 years of life. Wtf. so creeped out.

Urrg. That would gross me out too.

My belly button is really sensitive, I get electric shock type feelings in my tummy if I press in it, so I'm quite squeamish about them. Luckily it didn't hurt when it was an outie in later pregnancy though.

Pppppppp1234 · 03/06/2019 21:07

Ah my 4 year old has this, a tiny bit of skin essentially that was his cord. He had a bit of stump still once it fell off so it was cauterised a few times at the doctors!

ComeTheFuck0nBridget · 03/06/2019 22:59

This is going to sound gross but if your belly button is deep as you say, are you sure it's cord and not just compacted dirt?

Ginandsonic · 03/06/2019 23:01

Navel stones are a thing.... Could it be that?

ZeroFuchsGiven · 03/06/2019 23:01

I'd say it's more likely to be deep rooted dirt than cord tbh.

Loftyswops988 · 03/06/2019 23:48

its a naval stone likely..

Singlebutmarried · 04/06/2019 00:05

Hop on over to sporner corner (with pics)

You will be lauded

BabyDueDecember2019 · 04/06/2019 20:10

This may be stupid to ask but how do you know it's cord?

Ironfloor269 · 04/06/2019 20:22

Wtf is a naval stone?? Sounds like primitive monument revered by sailors..

itssquidstella · 04/06/2019 20:29

@WeeDangerousSpike omg you get the squirmy, horrible electric shock too?! I thought that was just me!

WeeDangerousSpike · 04/06/2019 20:35

I usually love sporny things but just googled navel stones and now I feel ill

StyleOfTheTimes · 04/06/2019 20:45

My dh always says he gets an electric shock type feeling in his bum when he messes with his belly button 🤣🤭

WeeDangerousSpike · 04/06/2019 21:31

Style my electric shock feelings go down into my pelvic area, so not a million miles away!

ChristmasInJuly · 04/06/2019 21:35

I guessed what this was going to be about when I opened this thread. Same thing happened to me in my first pregnancy! So weird.

Rememberallball · 04/06/2019 21:38

I’m almost 23 weeks and all mine has done is get stretched and the corners seem to have split a little making it sore - especially after the ultrasound gel got in it last week!!

sheshootssheimplores · 04/06/2019 21:39

I had the same and just tied cotton around the bit of stump that was left and it dropped off 🥴🤭

Singleandproud · 04/06/2019 21:44

On embarrassing bodies there was a women who had a very deep belly button, it also smelt funky which was why she was there, turns out it had never healed or something when she was born.

covetingthepreciousthings · 04/06/2019 21:46

Can we see a picture to confirm though OP?

DesperadoDan · 04/06/2019 21:50

That happened to me when I was pregnant with my first at 19, my belly button popped out and in the deep crevices was dried blood, it didn’t smell or anything but it totally ranked me out Grin

DesperadoDan · 04/06/2019 21:52

Urgggh do not google navel stones!

QOD · 04/06/2019 21:54

Now I’ve GOT to google navel stones ...

QOD · 04/06/2019 21:55

nespressowoo · 04/06/2019 22:07
