To ask if anyone here is better off on universal credit?

I have 2 children and receive child tax credits in addition to my wages.

My 17 year old DD has been offered an apprenticeship from September so I have been on entitledto.com to see how much benefit I'll lose.

I'll now lose £100 per week in ctc and child benefit, but the calculator is stating I'd gain £46 per week of that back, if I moved over to universal credit.

I've heard horror stories of people ending up worse off, but is this always the case? Is anyone better off after changing over?

My friend was but she was only on it a short time as she got a new and better paid job.
She was on it a few months.
The key is to be really precise and do everything online ASAP and check your account daily, attend your first meeting and keep on top of the requests they make. If you are organised you will be fine.
