Leave London for Wales

Not sure if pipe dream or possible

Looking at house prices I could potentially buy for less than my London council rent pcm

Realistically I would more likely be looking to exchange or find a council property if I did move as I am technically unemployed atm

Child primary school age

Would you leave London for Pembrokeshire?

We don't know that many people but do have family that way. Unsure if I would be stupid to leave the convenience of London at find myself quite isolated or if it would be worth doing it as I'm quite free - could look for work that way, child not entirely happy in school and thinks she would make friends easily anywhere else. Also single and we'd be starting from scratch and would want to be able to make friends and meet people, London is fairly easy for that...

Pembs is quite expensive.
You want to think about whether you can drive, also.
I was isolated and disadvantaged when I didn't have my car.
I've made the move from Wales to near London recently.

Oh and healthcare is a total joke in Wales compared to the home counties, not sure about inside of London, but if you have any health needs or might do, I closing SEN support for current/ future children, then it's very different.

That's useful to know... not currently driving as can't afford it. Very fortunate with healthcare in London I suppose...

Argh I know a holiday is nothing like living there but really missing it and feeling so portable atm that I wonder if we could/should

Pembrokeshire far too rural if you can't drive and likely to be a shock after bustle or London. Worth thinking about somewhere lii Cardiff or Newport instead?

Don't make any quick decisions, try to take a few trips over the next year to different places, Pembrokeshire is beautiful but very remote, there's other cheaper places close to coastal areas and near to big cities where work is more likely, eg consider the NE, Newcastle is a major city but close by the beaches and countryside is amazing, I'm seriously tempted myself as I can buy outright from my divorce settlement
