Is leaving a job after a year a red flag to future employers?

If it's for a better job/promotion then I wouldn't say so. Most successful people I know (under 35) move job and every 2-3 years - seems to be the only way to progress these days. There are no rewards for loyalty anymore.

If it's a year in one career then a year in another then you'll probably look like a bit of a flake, but if you're not happy where you are currently there's no harm in trying.

If it's not every year and you can explain it, then not a problem
