To ask for a cure for my raging PMT

Husband is walking on eggshells, I'm sitting on the sofa under a blanket crying at everything on TV. No energy and so swollen and bloated.

The irrational rage is what gets me, I get angry at everything and then I feel like the most shitty person. Every month for 3/4 days it's the same and I'm so fed up of it.

I can't take the pill as we've been ttc for years.

AIBU to ask if there's a fucking cute?!!

I found star flower oil to be v good. Takes a while to get into your system but I went from in a total rage to a bit grumpy. Relief all round!! Try Floresse from boots or Holland & Barrett for other brands.

U need to look at your diet, have a complete hormone check, meditate, get enough sleep. Not too much sugar or stress or caffeine or alcohol. Evening primrose oil might help too. Good luck

You may not want to try medication but I take sertraline and it's helped a bit.
For me my pmt (I suspect PMDD but haven't been diagnosed) would last for 10-14 days each month and it was runing my life.
I had a chat with one of the nurses at my local sexual health clinic about this as i even got the mirina coil fitted with hopes of the small amount of hormones balancing everything out (it didn't..) and she said that she was prescribed sertraline for her pmt but didn't have to take it every day, I think just in the run up to her period but I can't be sure.
Have a chat with your gp about options if this is something you'd consider.
Pmt really is awful, I hate how over looked it is.Flowers

@CoraPirbright Thanks will have a look into that.

@Seabreeze18 I think no gin might tip me over the edge! I'm quite good with my diet and sleep normally although I want to eat every sweet and salty snack in sight for one week a month which isn't helpful.

@Newadventure I'm at my wits end so I'd definitely consider it. I hate how it's not taken seriously. I know it's not life or death but it does have a huge impact
