To think they should shut up

Neighbor a few doors down is having a party in the garden...been going on since 8, it's not 12:30am

It's a group of very loud teenage boys, banging, loud music, yelling... at what point should they STFU?

I wonder if your my neighbour. There is a house party going on on my estate and they are being OTT loud. Sounds like lots of shouting and chanting. I’ve had to shut my windows but it still seems loud. Hence me being awake at this hour

sprinkles124 · 26/05/2019 00:34

@AtSea1979 maybe... that's annoying for you too then... I just want to go out in my garden and yell 'STFU' at the top of my lungs... listen out and let me know if you hear me lol

No I'm just kidding... I feel like doing that but I won't ;)

at what point should they STFU?

At least an hour ago. Or at least taken it inside to carry on at a more respectable level.

sprinkles124 · 26/05/2019 00:40

@MuddyMoose I think if my kids were still awake from them I'd call the police... I can't believe how rude some people are.

I always try and keep the kids quiet for the neighbors sake... tonight I've had the neighbors dog and the other neighbors party... it's not been a pleasure

Legally they should have shut the fuck up at 11. Phone the police!

AtSea1979 · 26/05/2019 00:53

They are currently singing at top note. They def need to STFU

Samind · 26/05/2019 00:58

Are they approachable neighbours?

AtSea1979 · 26/05/2019 00:59

Mine are usually but they are clearly having a party and I’d just look like a miserable old bat!

managedmis · 26/05/2019 01:01

Yeah call the police

sprinkles124 · 26/05/2019 01:03

@AtSea1979 you can call anonymously? I feel the same... don't want to be a fun killer but it is bloody rude

I think for me it's the attitude rather than the noise that is the most annoying aspect of it

They're still going... omg I might just call the police

@Samind I've never really spoken to them, they do have parties every summer but never noticed this before at this time.

I think their teenagers are old enough this year so maybe the parents are away

OP posts:
Samind · 26/05/2019 01:08

Yeah I think both of you are within reason to make a complaint. It's after 1am. Maybe they're drunk or caught up having a good time but it's getting on.

EileenAlanna · 26/05/2019 03:28

Don't suppress your very reliable instinct. Go up to the house & scream STFU at the top of your lungs. I've done this more than once to a pub opposite me & it works wonders. Reclaim righteous anger.

SupaNintendoChalmers · 26/05/2019 04:04

I wouldn't really be that bothered if it's a once off. If they had parties like that all the time I'd be calling the cops though. It's probably some teens who's parents have gone away for the weekend. Ahhh to be young.

SupaNintendoChalmers · 26/05/2019 04:05

@EileenAlanna .... you moved in across from a pub and now you tell them to shut up? I will never understand that.
Unless it was built when you already lived there what were you expecting from living across the road from a pub. Ridiculous.

EileenAlanna · 26/05/2019 05:22

@SupaNintendoChalmers the pub was empty for quite a long time. There's no local trade & it's too off the beaten track to be a place ppl bother to go to as it's isolated from everything even though it's in the city centre. Various ppl have tried to make a go of it, usually involving opening outside their legal licensing hours, dealing drugs, selling knock off booze & it was most recently closed down after someone died after being left lying on the floor drunk while the manager locked him in & went for a burger. I'm the live-in caretaker of a church opposite the pub. totally surrounded by churches, hostels for homeless ppl/ refugees/asylum seekers & a few very small local manufacturing businesses. I really don't care whether you understand or not.

But yet you care enough to write a long post defending yourself. Hmm
