It was a story about 2 ghost children and a ghost dog who had been killed in a boating accident on a lake. They ‘lived’ in the house they had lived in when they died and every so often they had to return to the lake to recover their strength. A family of living people took on the house and there was some mystery to do with that that the ghost children somehow helped to investigate, I think. It was set in America.
