My DS has low calcium levels to due a kidney condition and the immune suppressants he takes to keep it under control. Yesterday his Dr suggested a Vit D supplement as that will help him absorb more calcium.
Today day I went to the local independent health food shop to buy the vitamins. One of the assistants helped me and first tried to persuade me to buy a spray when I specifically asked for it in pill form. Then she was trying to persuade me to buy probiotics to boost him immune, he takes four different medications to suppress his immune system - boosting it would be counterproductive!
AIBU to think that someone in a health food shop shouldn’t be pushing extra supplements especially as I had stated DS is on medication (who knows what interactions there could be) and I stated his dr only suggested getting vit D?
