AIBU to think that a lot of people who post on AIBU aren't asking if they're BU but seeking validation instead?
There are a lot of threads started about something that can't possibly be seen as U, eg "My MiL turned up at my wedding in a full meringue and cathedral-length veil singing 'It Should Have Been Me'. AIBU in thinking this is a bit OTT?".
And others where any suggestion that the OP may indeed be being U are met with explanations of why they're not. Or further details drip fed to show why they're right and everybody else is heinous. Such as, "DS's teacher intervened when DS punched another boy in the face. AIBU to try to get her sacked?". MN: "Yes, YABU". OP: "No I'm not. Besides, the teacher then publicly flogged DS to within an inch of his life, hung, drew and quartered him and confiscated his smart phone".
And, btw, I'm not being bloody U.
I'm right about this, I tell you, right!
