I've heard good things from a colleague about Hillingdon . Not used either myself tho. She's going back there for her 2nd. You don't have to decide immediately and can change your mind though

Thank you. Really appreciate your response! I didn't realise I could move.

Hillingdon. I was taken to Northwick Park after my big accident, not impressed. I was shoved in a single room, all very delightful, but I couldn’t walk, nobody came despite me constantly pinging the bell, I literally screamed the place down for the bedpan.

Then I was freezing under one thin shitty blanket (March) but they insisted on taking the temperature of the room. I was in shock after a very serious accident and shivering. The surgeon told it was the worst accident he’d ever seen.

The Matron bollocked me for not wanting to move because half my leg was bloody hanging off, I was left wet and in a state. I felt like I was in a prison. The only good thing was the on tap morphine. This might be an unusual experience, but I hated it. Bugger, this is making me cry. Go to Hillingdon.

I'm so sorry to hear you've had such a bad experience. Hope you're on the mend now. Thank you for your help.

Hillingdon - personal experience x2. (General post-natal ward hideous though so escape asap - Nicu etc supposed to be great but fortunately no direct experience)

Apparently Hillingdon have one of the best home birth depts if you were thinking of one - very midwife led, great training and lots on call every night (though that’s just what my midwife told me)
