I know this is a TAAT and someone may already have mentioned this but I was surprised to see this had ended up in the Guardian.

Media outlets routinely harvest stories from mn,to recycle online
Doesn’t bother me. Don’t disclose owt you don’t want reproduced elsewhere

I am well aware of that Lipstick. I was just surprised it was the Guardian as opposed to somewhere else.

If you’re well aware what’s the surprise? Guardian has loads of MN stories over the years

Redshoeblueshoe · 20/05/2019 21:05

I'm sure it's also been picked up by another paper.
The Guardian Grin they must really be getting desperate to cling on to readers

MrsTerryPratchett · 20/05/2019 21:07

The Guardian have only been pretending to be journalists for years. It's not surprising... and I used to love the Guardian.

InspectorClouseauMNdivision · 20/05/2019 21:09

Tbh there was number of articles aboit weddings and CL final before that thread already

InspectorClouseauMNdivision · 20/05/2019 21:10

Aghr. Lost last sentence.
I actually saw article just before the thread was started and assumed at the beginning that someone is just starting thread based on that article.

ForalltheSaints · 20/05/2019 21:31

Well there are Guardian readers who follow Spurs I assume!

MLMhun · 21/05/2019 12:15

Paddy Power have used a screenshot of it (first post) in a Facebook post too.

GCAcademic · 21/05/2019 12:20

The Guardian is simply a left-wing version of the Daily Mail these days. Endless clickbait interspersed with agenda-pushing. It is also more misogynistic than the DM (and so are their readers, going by the comments btl).

LadyRannaldini · 21/05/2019 16:37

One assumes that for MNers it's totally acceptable for the Grauniad to pick stories up but not less 'acceptable' media outlets!

MrsTerryPratchett · 21/05/2019 18:33

One assumes but one might be wrong.
