Surely a stock picture of an adult should have been used, this looks to me like an extremely young preteen girl, it's unsettling and detracts from the importance of the information in the article.

She could be in her 30’s! I don’t see how you can tell from that picture at all.

Doesn’t look like a child to me. Or, at least, it’s hard to tell how old she is.

I think her hands/build etc look like those of a young child.

I don’t think that looks like a child at all. I suppose you could interpret it that way if you wanted, but it seems a stretch to me. They’ve clearly chosen an image which doesn’t show anyone’s face, for obvious reasons.
