I'm watching Outlander, and its the episode where Frank asks for a divorce, and shes bloody outraged because she doesn't want one. Shes annoyed he wants to marry his girlfriend, and move to England.

When she is viewing his body, her wig looks atrocious as well.

Why is she such a know it all about everything?

That period of the Frank era is explained better in the books really. He's been shagging all and sundry for years (yet is still all Hmm about Jamie) and then is not only going off to England (despite having insited they left asap) but insists he's going to take Brianna as well (despite refusing to let Claire do the same) and then he dies. He's a controlling nob tbh.

@GarthFunkel - ah ok then, in the show (just watching) she closes her eyes when they have sex because she is thinking about Jamie, (cant imagine why) and you get the feeling that they dont have any interaction in the bedroom, that's why he's off with other women?

(fking hell MN!! - just went to Apache error)

so - in the show it shows her closing her eyes during sex as she 'is not in the room and thinking about Jamie" which is why he is off with other women, and she is ok with it?

Can't remember about all that but do you agree that Claire's voice is soooooooooooo annoying? The way she speaks English in such a put on voice. Drives me mad.

In the books she and Frank have sex, a lot - on TV not so much.

She's Irish in real life.

CruellaFeinberg · 18/05/2019 20:36

does she have an Irish accent in RL? if so, it would have ben much better to move the character to Ireland, or use a different actress?

He's a controlling nob tbh.

He wasn't in the first book, IIRC. He was a decent man, just maybe not terribly exciting as a husband. Then the author performed a complete character assassination on him, to show how completely superior Claire and Jamie's twu wuv was, and to justify Claire's running back to Jamie. One of the things that turned me off the books.

Frank deserved better. He stood by her and not only raised a child he knew wasn't his, he didn't tell anyone she wasn't his and he loved her like his own.
