AIBU?

They sound extremely expensive and I hear food isn’t allowed,dd has been asking for one for her birthday. Due to cost I’ve not agreed yet.

You can get kits to DIY at home. Also v easy to do cheaply by disembowelling pound shop teddies. That was one of the most successful parties we’ve had.

My daughters had one - but they are held in one of the local soft play. It's not exactly cheap, but you get the best of both worlds, the kids are entertained for an entire afternoon, with food.

Otherwise, I agree, I would just take the to McDonald or Pizza Express, any child friendly junk food place is a treat then.

My daughter had one and loved it. We had the minimum number of 5 including DD. I was reluctant but it was what she wanted. I was pleasantly surprised. The staff made a big effort to make it fun and they all loved it. As it was a small group they came to our place for pizza and ice-cream afterwards.
