AIBU to expect maintenance cleaners to come at a reasonable time to empty a van load of rubbish into a skip by your house?

Next door currently have a skip outside their house which cleaners will drop rubbish in as early as 7:30am. This is a regular occurrence, at least 1-2 times a week and it’s really starting to bug me. I work night shifts so by that time will have only have just got to sleep, and can never get back to sleep after half an hours worth of metal clanging about.

I feel I’m probably being a bit precocious, but I’m currently running on 2 hours sleep because of this. I’m tempted to email the estate agents who deal with the house and ask their maintenance people to come at a more reasonable time like half 9/10 as I feel half 7 is a ludicrously early time for that much noise

YABU.
I think it is okay to expect them to delay until 8 a.m. as that is the start of the working day for many tradespeople. To expect them to delay until 9.30/10 a.m. is expecting way too much of them.

The dustmen/refuse collectors often empty our bins at 6.45 a.m. I just think it's something we have to put up with. It's all over in a few minutes.

You can try but they will work to a schedule with lots of addresses on route. I doubt they will want to change a route that works.
