baby's due date is MIL bday. But have fibbed to the masses and told them it's a week earlier.

childish? yes i know? irrational? yup

MIL swings from being a lovely lady to a nightmare and recently has pissed me off a lot with her copius amounts of judmental/critical comments.

anyone else ever do this?

My DD wad due on my FIL's bday. DH and I were happy about it. Told him and he was so happy! (we get along fine)
But she arrived 5 weeks earlier.

ooooh what a good idea. I have to say, I have told most people that I was due around the end of July (not to hide things, just cos I'm so crap at maths that I consider 21st to be the "end" of the month ) but the net result is no calls as yet

Only a few people know the real date, including my dp's, but they are very sensible people who assume that no news is ... well that really, no news!

Rubybees · 19/07/2007 21:21

Can see why you did it LOL

My dad and dh share the same b.day and if I had concived a month eariler ds would of been due on same date!! arrh 3 generations would have been a nightmare, I was so glad when we got passed there b/day and ds stayed inside hehe.

Its the bloody "still no baby?" as they peer at your HUGE bump

Erm, yes had it last week... I'm just fat.

Only once did I actually just glare at someone who said that to me.... they backed away slowly.

Actually, am beginning to quite enjoy saying "yes, should've popped a week ago" and watching people back away slooooowwwlllyyy in manner of someone faced with unexploded bomb.

Ha. That'll learn em.
