Wibu to try to sow potatoes now?

I bought some seed potatoes at the end of April and left them to sprout... and promptly forgot about them! Annoyed with myself.

Is it worth planting them now? I don't want to waste compost and plant food on them if it's pointless. I would be planting in containers, so it would be quite a lot of compost.

What type are they? You should be OK with main crops if you get them in by end of the month

Thanks. I think they're main crop. I wouldn't have bought earlies so late in April.

They're those long red ones. Maybe called red fir.

Pink fir! Yes, main crop.

Pink firs are nice. You'll be fine.

Thanks, I'll sow tomorrow 👍.
